In this work we report the synthesis and characterization of composites obtained by embedding magnetic nanoparticles like core(Fe) – shell(Au), (Fe@Au) in different polymeric matrices: poly (vinylchloride) (PVC), poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) and polypyrrole (PPy) respectively. The samples were prepared with different filling ratios for the (Fe@Au) nanoparticles. The properties of these composites were investigated by using transmission electron microscopy (TEM), high-resolution TEM, X-Rays diffraction (XRD), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and magnetization measurements as function of the applied external field. The composites have different behaviours concerning their thermal degradation and magnetic response at an applied external magnetic field resulting from different intimate interactions between various polymers and the gold shell of the nanoparticles.
