| A general outlook on the variation of the properties of nanocomposites materials based on the self-assembly ability of three different block copolymers has been investigated. In particular two poly(styrene-b-butadiene-b-styrene) and a poly(styrene-b-isoprene-b-styrene) block copolymers characterized by different PS contents have been analyzed. NaŹnoordered structures of block copolymer and eventually morphological changes in the matrix with silver nanoparticles addition are in fact of primary importance when the mechanical properties of the nanocomposites are considered. From the mechanical point of view it can be noted that the tensile modulus increased with increasing Ag content, as expected, but the tensile strength and the elongation at break depend strongly on nanoparticle agglomeration and on good adhesion between nanoparticles and block copolymers, obtained by the use of surfactant.
