Nanocomposites of polystyrene with multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) were prepared using toluene solu¬tion of polymer. Nanotubes were previously treated with different modifiers (hydrochloric acid, ammonium hydrox¬ide, dimethylsulfoxide and vinyltrialkoxysilane). The mixture of MWCNTs and fumed silica (20 % w/w) was applied also. Introducing of filler (filling degree was 0.1 wt %) into the polymer has been performed via ultrasonic dispersion of MWCNTs in polystyrene solution. Filled nanocomposited were formed in films on the glass surface without and under influence of magnetostatic field. Composites obtained were studied by thermogravimetric analysis and IR spec-troscopy. The films conductivity was measured also. Combination of MWCNTs surface pretreatment with influence of the magnetostatic field allows preparing nanocomposites with differing structure and electrical characteristics.
